This specific part immeadiately had me thinking about how even today, 15 years after the Eelam Tamil Genocide that Sri Lanka carried out (fully supported by the U.S.), Sri Lanka is still barring Eelam Tamil people from fishing in their own waters today. It reminded me how Israel uses Sri Lanka's oppressive tactics at all stages of genocide to disenfranchise people of their autonomy and traditions. How both struggles are rooted in love for land and people. My heart aches so much seeing this evil play out over and over. The same hands covered in blood holding the pen to write over histories. Thank you for reminding me that we choose what we accept and what world we live in. Grateful to choose beside you.
